The number of under-22 (U22) players increased by 25 from the previous year to 277, with 154 K League 1 and 123 K League 2 players. In K League 1, Daegu had the most with 22, and in K League 2, Busan had the most with 18.

The number of K-League youth players is 166 in K-League 1 and 159 in K-League 2, a total of 325, up 16 from the previous year. Jeonbuk has the most players from its own youth team, and 17 out of 46 players in the entire team went through the Jeonbuk youth system.

There are a total of two ‘high school K-League’ players who signed a semi-professional contract to play in the K-League: Gong Si-hyeon in Jeonbuk and Kim Min-seung in Busan.

The additional player registration period during the season is 4 weeks from June 23 (Fri) to July 20 (Thu).
