Seo Yo-seop’s 6-win challenge with ‘Wire to Wire’…”Repay the sponsors with victory”

Seo Yo-seop, who has won 5 wins on the Korea Professional Golf (KPGA) Korean Tour, is stepping up to win the ‘Wire Tour Wire’ in a tournament hosted by his sponsor. 

Seo Yo-seop made 4 birdies without bogey in the 3rd round of the 18th DB Insurance Promy Open (total prize money of 700 million won), the opening game of the KPGA Korean Tour 2023 season held at the Old Course (par 72) at Ravievell Country Club in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do on the 15th. He shot a 4-under 68.

Seo Yo-seop, who recorded a total of 14 under par and 202 strokes in rounds 1 to 3, will enter the final round as the sole leader, one stroke ahead of runner-up Ko Gun-taek (13 under par, 203 strokes). 

Seo Yo-seop, who finished the first and second rounds as a joint leader, took the sole lead that day. If you keep the lead on the 16th, the last day of the competition, you will win the ‘Wire to Wire’ by finishing all rounds in first place. 

Seo Yo-seop has won 5 career victories since his debut. Four of those wins were achieved while wearing his current main sponsor, DB Property & Casualty Insurance caps. 

If he wins this tournament, it will be his first win of the season and his 6th career win. He also gets the special pleasure of reaching the top in a competition hosted by his sponsor.

Last year’s rookie of the year Bae Yong-joon tied for 3rd place with Park Sang-hyun, and Jeon Seong-hyun, who was co-leader in the second round, fell behind to 5th place (10 under par, 206 strokes).
