LAA Ohtani, 12K 1 run in 7 innings against LAA, 3 losses in a good fight

It’s literally a savage line. Shohei Ohtani (LA Angels) was on the verge of losing in his 15th start of the season as he failed to receive support for a goal despite a good pitch.

On the 22nd (Korean time), Ohtani was named in the starting lineup as a pitcher and second hitter in the 2023 MLB home game against the Los Angeles Dodgers held at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, USA.

“Pitcher” Ohtani showed off his good condition from the beginning. In the top of the first inning, Mookie Betts (center fielder fly), Freddie Freeman (strikeout), and Will Smith (strikeout) were put to sleep one after another, and the game began happily with a three-way strike. In the top of the second inning, after tying David Peralta and JD Martinez with first baseman grounders and strikeouts, he gave up an infield hit to Jason Heyward, but struck out Miguel Vargas.

The sense of stability continued in the beginning of the third inning. He struck out James Outman and Michael Bush in a row. Betts got a fly in right field.

The first run came in the top of the 4th inning. Leading batter Freeman allowed a solo arch over the middle fence. Ohtani then struck out Smith and Peralta, respectively, and blocked the pitcher’s ground ball, but after being hit by Martinez’s double, Hayward also walked and was shaken. Fortunately, Vargas was struck out on a swing and no additional runs were allowed.

Ohtani quickly found stability in the top of the 5th inning. Outman and Bush were tied with first baseman grounders and shortstop grounders. The follow-up hitter, Betts, dedicated a hit that fell in the middle, but Freeman was caught with a pitcher’s ground ball.

In the beginning of the 6th inning, the crisis management ability was outstanding. He allowed Smith to walk, but struck out Peralta and Martinez in a row. Afterwards, Heyward was hit by a hit that fell in the middle of the right and reached 2nd and 1st and 2nd bases, but Vargas struck out three pitches to end the inning.

Ohtani, who was on the mound in the top of the 7th inning, calmly increased his out count against Outman (center fielder fly), Bush (strikeout), and Betts (left fielder fly), completing his duties as a pitcher. In the top of the 8th inning, the Angels changed their pitcher with right-handed bullpen resource Jacob Webb.메이저놀이터

Pitcher Ohtani’s final score was 7 innings, 5 hits, 1 home run, 2 walks, 12 strikeouts and 1 run. The total number of pitches was 101. Ohtani also made a name for himself as the Angels’ pitcher with the most strikeouts against the Dodgers.

However, Ohtani couldn’t help but laugh at this hot fight. The Angels lineup is tied to the mound of the Dodgers, which is conducting Bullpen Day, and is unable to score a single point. At the beginning of the 8th inning, with the Angels trailing 0-1, when the game ends like this, Ohtani will have his 3rd loss of the season (6 wins, 2 losses).
