“It’s hard to stand in strong wind”… Typhoon Kanun making landfall

Typhoon No. 6 ‘Kanun’, heading north, is expected to land near Sacheon, Gyeongsangnam-do this morning (10th).

The Korea Meteorological Administration메이저사이트 predicted that the typhoon will continue to move north from the sea about 100 km south of Tongyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do at 6:00 am, and will land near Sacheon, Gyeongsangnam-do around 9:00 am.

While the typhoon passes, strong winds with a maximum wind speed of around 40 m/s will blow in the southern coastal area, and strong winds of 15 to 25 m/s are expected to blow in the central region including the metropolitan area.

In addition, due to the influence of rain clouds accompanying the typhoon, there will be places where it rains 150 to 300mm in Yeongdong, Gangwon, up to 500mm in some areas, and up to 300mm in Yeongnam.

The Meteorological Administration predicted that an additional 100 to 200 mm of rain would fall in other areas, including the metropolitan area.
