‘Wow’ KBO reverse export is such a big hit, he was a killer dedicated to AL MVP ‘KKKKK’

Eric Peddy (31) of the St. Louis Cardinals, who dominated the KBO league last year. He has displayed impressive performance in the Major League this season. Notably, he has been a killer of American League MVP Aaron Judge (32) of the New York Yankees.

After dominating the KBO league in the 2023 season, Peddy returned to the U.S. Major League Baseball. He signed a two-year contract worth 15 million U.S. dollars with the Chicago White Sox. It is no exaggeration to say that it was a reversal of his life after receiving an annual salary of 1.3 billion won in Korea.
During the last season, Peddy started 30 KBO league games and posted 20-6 (winning rate of 0.769) with an ERA of 2.00. While pitching for 180 ⅓ innings, Peddy had 137 hits (nine homers), 35 walks, 209 strikeouts, 46 runs (40 earned runs) and a WHIP (per-inning allowance) of 0.95 and a batting average of 0.207. He pitched 21 quality starts (less than three earned runs in six innings as a starter).

Based on his stellar performance, he dominated the ERA, multiple wins and strikeouts (209 strikeouts), achieving the much-awaited Triple Crown. It was the first time in 37 years that he had achieved 20 wins and 200 strikeouts at the same time since 1986 when Sun Dong-yeol was born in Haitai, and he was the first foreign pitcher to do so. Prior to Feddy, the triple crown was a milestone that only Sun Dong-yeol (1986·1989·1990·91), Ryu Hyun-jin (2006), and Yoon Seok-min (2011) achieved.

Peddy was actually just one of those pitchers in the U.S. Major League Baseball before coming to Korea. A graduate of Nevada State University, Peddy was selected by the Washington Nationals as the 18th overall pick in the first round in the 2014 rookie draft. Since his debut in the Major League in 2017, he played in 102 games (88 starts) in the big leagues and posted a 21-33 record with a 5.41 ERA.

Then, he conquered the 바카라사이트 KBO League and returned to the U.S. to become an outstanding pitcher. He started all 31 games this season, and posted nine wins, nine losses and an earned run average of 3.30. During 177 ⅓ innings, he posted a batting average of 0.233 WHIP (per-inning allowed rate of 0.16 on-base hits) of 52 walks, 154 strikeouts, and 66 runs (65 earned runs) that fit five bodies of 154 hits (20 homers).

He also experienced environmental changes during the season. In late July, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Chicago White Sox, and the St. Louis Cardinals traded triangles, and Peddy was also on the trade list. Eventually, Peddy moved from the White Sox to the St. Louis Cardinals. With 7-4 record and 3.11 ERA for the White Sox, Peddy slowed down a bit with 2-5 record and 3.72 ERA for the St. Louis Cardinals. His pitching was good, but his luck didn’t follow. It was Peddy who had a career-high season, though.

There is also an interesting record. Judge faced Aaron Judge, who became the MVP of the American League this season. Judge went into 11 at-bats against Peddy, and recorded one hit (one double), one RBI, and six strikeouts from nine times at bat. In three matches this season, Judge did not allow Judge a single hit, and struck out two. Judge recorded one hit (one double), two RBIs, one walk and three strikeouts from four times at bat in the 2018 season, and one strikeout from two times at bat in the 2020 season.

After dominating the KBO, he showed good performance upon his return to the U.S. Major League Baseball. What will he show next season.
