Typhoon No. 6 ‘Kanun’ will head north to the East Sea after the middle of next week.
Although there is variability in the route of movement, the East Coast and Ulleungdo and Dokdo are directly affected by typhoons.
In particular, as the water temperature in the East Sea is high, typhoons maintain strong power, causing strong rain and wind damage.
This is reporter Kim Min-kyung’s report.

A beautiful tree shakes vigorously in the raging rain and wind.
Heavy rain pours down as if the sky is pierced in a rough wind.
This is the appearance of Okinawa, Japan in the area of influence of Typhoon ‘Kanun’.
Typhoon Kanun, located off the coast of Okinawa, Japan, is moving slowly eastward while still maintaining strong power.
[Park Jung-min / Forecast Analyst, Korea Meteorological Administration: Typhoon No. 6 ‘Kanun’ is expected to turn northward around the 7th and pass through Kyushu, Japan between the 9th and 10th and advance toward the East Sea of Korea.
] The results of each country’s supercomputer prediction model are also simulating that it will move north to the East Sea.
If this route is followed, Ulleungdo and the east coast are likely to be directly affected by the typhoon.
Ulleungdo and Dokdo, which are close to the typhoon, will be in the radius of a storm of more than 25m per second, and some areas on the east coast will be within a radius of strong winds of more than 15m per second.
The problem is the water temperature on the East Coast.
The higher the water temperature, the greater 스포츠토토the amount of water vapor that can be used as an energy source for a typhoon.
Currently, the water temperature of the East Coast is 27-29 degrees, which is 3-4 degrees higher than normal.
Because of this, it is highly likely that the typhoon will remain strong without weakening as it moves north.
The Korea Meteorological Administration said that the variability of the typhoon’s course is still large, but there are concerns about damage from strong rain and wind as it lands in the East Sea, and
asked to pay attention to typhoon information to be announced in the future.
