The level was literally different. Jeonbuk Hyundai showed a difference in power even though it operated a large number of rotations.
Jeonbuk Hyundai defeated Muangtong United (Thailand) 4-1 in the second Group H match of the Asian Football Confederation Champions League 2 (ACL2) at Jeonju World Cup Stadium on the 3rd.
Jeonbuk has secured victory in its first home match of the ALC 2, continuing its winning streak. Jeonbuk came back with a landslide 6-0 victory even after operating its rotation in an away match against Cebu FC (Philippines) held last month.
Jeonbuk started with a 4-4-2 formation. Starting players are Thiago-Jin Tae-ho, Kim Chang-hoon, Lee Soo-bin, Yoo Je-ho, Moon Seon-min, Park Chang-woo, Kim Ha-joon, Koo Ja-yong, Kim Tae-hwan, and Kim Jung-hoon.
Muangtong opted for a 3-4-3 formation. Emile Lovac – Foramat Azvirai – Pratchett Totsanit, John Patrick Strauss – Picha Outra – Sorawit Panthong – Tristan Do, Ali Sissoko – Songout Krykuruan – Jacapan Frysuwan, and Kittipong Putauchuk came first.
As previously announced, coach Kim Doo-hyun has formed a lineup mainly for Team B. “We plan to use Team B players as we did against Cebu. Players who had not received an opportunity will also participate. We will also include some of the players who have recently been included in the League Squad. We will utilize them according to circumstances and make results,” he said in a press conference on the eve of the match.
Jeonbuk also used its younger teammates to shoot firecrackers in the match against Cebu. As survival of the K-League 1 is a priority, the team focused on physical fitness arrangements for its main players. Despite this, Jeonbuk has secured the result by banking on the performances of Jin Tae-ho (born in 2006), Kim Chang-hoon (born in 2004), and Park Chae-joon (born in 2003), who scored one goal and one assist.
Coach Kim Doo-hyun made the same choice against Muangtong, who is one step ahead of Cebu. Although Thiago started as a starter, many young players, including Jin Tae-ho, Kim Chang-hoon, Park Chae-joon, and Park Chang-woo (born in 2003), Kim Ha-joon (born in 2002), and Yoo Je-ho (born in 2000), were given the opportunity.
However, Muangtong was clearly different from Cebu. Muangtong induced Jeonbuk to make mistakes through active pressure and wise connection plays, and created many threatening scenes. If gatekeeper Kim Jung-hoon’s good defense and opponent’s shot were not lucky enough to hit the post, it would not have been strange for him to concede the first goal. Jeonbuk also expressed regret at the end of the first half, finishing the first half 0-0.
Jeonbuk, however, was Jeonbuk. Jeonbuk excluded Thiago and Yoo Je-ho at the beginning of the second half and deployed Lee Young-jae and Park Jae-yong, and then scored four goals to defeat Muangtong.
In the first half, veterans Moon Sun-min and Kim Tae-hwan made a difference. In the fifth minute of the second half, Park Jae-yong turned his back on the defense and gave the ball away, and Kim Tae-hwan dug into the right side of the box and took a cross. Moon Sun-min connected it with an exquisite volley and shook the net. In the 10th minute of the second half, Lee Young-jae scored an additional goal with an accurate left-footed curl near the arc. 메이저사이트
Moon and Kim combined to score another goal. At the counterattack in the 13th minute of the second half, Kim ran to the inside of the box and gave up a cutback pass. Moon lightly pushed the ball to score multiple goals. Kim Tae-hwan, who had three assists alone, scored three times.
On top of that, 18-year-old Junfro player Jin Tae-ho also scored a goal. At the 38th minute in the second half, he calmly folded once from the right side of the box to lead the defense line, and scored a powerful left-footed shot to the net. It was his first individual goal scored at Jeonju Castle and his second consecutive goal in two matches at ACL 2. Jeonbuk has scored 10 goals in the two matches at ACL 2, completing another victory.
They are Jeonbuk and Kim Doo-hyun, the team’s coach, who have achieved the desired results. Veteran players and young players have enabled them to secure three points and secure physical stamina. Now they can concentrate on the K League 1 survival battle in the best condition.
