William Gallas from Tottenham Hotspur put a dagger in Tottenham.
Gallas, a former French national center back who played for Chelsea and Arsenal and also played for Tottenham for three years, expressed his thoughts on “Spursey” through Britain’s “The Sun” on the 30th (Korea Standard Time). “Spursey” is a word used by fans of other teams to mock Tottenham. Even though Tottenham is better than in the past, it is called “Spursey” when it does not have the ability to win a championship and is eventually bent.
It is repeated even after Coach Enze Postecoglou joined the team. He showed tremendous performance right after Postecoglou joined the team last season, and was once called a favorite, but collapsed and eventually ended up in fifth place, failing to win the UEFA Champions League ticket. He also failed to win the title in other competitions, and ended up with no title at all.
This season has ups and downs as well. As he played nine Premier League matches, he has 13 points (four wins, one draw and four losses), ranking eighth. He has lost focus on winning the title early on. There are strong doubts whether he can win in other competitions including the UEFA Europa League. 먹튀검증
“The word ‘spursy’ for Tottenham has existed for many years. To get rid of this word, Coach Postecoglou must elevate his performance and win every weekend. Tottenham has an amazing stadium and training ground. The club facilities are the best, and the fans are the best,” Gallas said. “I am repeating the same problem all the time.”
“There is no consistency and there is a very lack of world-class players,” Gallas said. He pointed out the quality of other players even though Son Heung-min is present. In fact, Tottenham showed the worst performance even without Son Heung-min, and failed to produce a result. He shows Tottenham’s limitations starting from relying on 32-year-old Son Heung-min.
Galas continued, “We need to invest in players who can sell players who are not good enough and challenge for the title. We need to make Tottenham fans dream of winning the Premier League.” In order to bring in good players, they need to perform well right away this season, get a UCL ticket, break the record, and win the championship to attract world-class players, but so far, it seems difficult.
