As a result of the diagnosis, special maintenance was required for the snow load due to sagging of the stadium’s structural members and deterioration of internal strength, so Uijeongbu City decided to close the gymnasium in accordance with Article 23 of the Special Act on Safety and Maintenance of Facilities.
An official from Uijeongbu City said, “We inevitably decided to close the gym in consideration of the safety of citizens visiting the Uijeongbu Gymnasium and fans of the KB Volleyball Team.”
KB Volleyball Team, which was notified of the closure of the city’s stadium on the 28th, is quickly looking for an alternative stadium.
The second round match against OK Savings Bank will be held at Gyeyang Gymnasium in Incheon on December 1, and the remaining 24-25 home games are in talks to rent a gym where professional volleyball games are available in Uijeongbu City and northern Gyeonggi Province.
