Lee Hae-in (19), a Korean female figure skater who was suspended for three years for allegedly drinking alcohol and sexually harassing a junior underage during an overseas training camp, has been found to be Lee Hae-in (19). Lee said, “I deeply regret drinking alcohol,” but explained that the sexual harassment was not true.
According to a report by YTN on Thursday, Lee offered an apology and explanation on the recent controversy over drinking alcohol. Six days after the disciplinary action by the skating association, Lee denied the allegation.
Lee Hae-in was found to have been drinking alcohol at his lodging during the off-season training for the national team held in Barresse, Italy from June 15-28. Under the federation’s reinforcement training guidelines, drinking is prohibited as it could affect training and performance.
Accordingly, the federation temporarily suspended Lee Hae-in’s qualification as a member of the national team through its own investigation. Later, during further investigation, it was confirmed that Lee Hae-in did acts that caused sexual discomfort in addition to drinking.
Lee Hae-in reportedly called his junior A to his accommodation and acted to make him feel sexual discomfort.
In response, Lee said, “It is my fault that I drank during the off-season training. I am so sorry,” bowing to his hurt and disappointed family and fans. 퀸알바
However, Lee firmly drew a line on the controversy over Huba sexual harassment. Lee said he and the woman were in “lover relationship.” Lee also said that he retains friendly messages that he exchanged with his affectionate nickname.
Lee Hae-in said, “It happened between the two of us, and when I saw an article reporting that it was sexual harassment, I was very hurt and distressed.”
Lee Hae-in also stressed that “there was no sexual assault or sexual harassment at all, and it is not true,” saying that both began dating when they were minors.
Afterwards, Lee Hae-in said, “I was so desperate for the upcoming 2026 Milan Winter Olympics, but now it’s a situation that I can’t actually try, and I’m very sad and hopeless because my world seems to have collapsed.”
Lee Hae-in plans to actively explain the sexual harassment at the upcoming retrial by the Korean Sports Council. “It was a light touch in a relationship with a lover,” said lawyer Kim Ga-ram, Lee’s legal representative. “We will fully clarify this fact and seek leniency for the (drinking) part that Lee did wrong.”
