Korean Sports Council Chairman’s Committee Criticizes Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism After National Sports Festival

At the end of the national sports competition, the Korean Sports and Tourism Commission fiercely criticized the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

On the 17th, the last day of the 105th National Sports Festival, the chairman of the Korea Sports Association held a joint press conference between the heads of the Korea Sports Association and members of the organization to build a future-oriented relationship in the sports world at the I-Square Hotel in Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do, and expressed their position on the controversy over operational misconduct.

At the meeting, the chairman’s group complained that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is indifferent to pending issues while intervening in the election, so it is rather low not to have one.

Chairman Lee Ki-heung said, “It is regrettable that some of the faults are seen as all sportsmen,” regarding the current misconduct in the overall operation of the sports world.

Chairman Lee explained that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is also closely watching the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s recent all-round pressure on the Korean Sports Council.
“The IOC has been asking the Korean Sports Council about the cause of the conflict between the Korean Sports Council and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the IOC has doubts about the recent domestic situation,” he said.

Problems in the domestic situation include the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s deprivation of the right to allocate budgets to the provincial and provincial sports associations, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s request for an audit of the Korea Sports and Tourism Board, and the Prime Minister’s Office’s investigation of the sports association. 메이저놀이터

Regarding the issue of the Korea Sports Council’s Sports Fair Committee, which is sharply opposed to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Chairman Lee Ki-heung also said, “Since the screening process for executives of sports organizations has already begun, it is impossible to change the list of members, and the recommendation to change it at a time when the game has begun is unacceptable.”

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism explains the corrective order to submit an implementation plan for improving unfair recommendations by the 18th and the notification that it will review follow-up measures if it does not implement them.

He also refuted the eight problems raised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, saying they were not at all wrong.

During the following remarks by the provincial chairman, Lee Kyu-saeng, chairman of the Incheon Sports Council, criticized, “It is quite worrisome and surprising to see the recent interview of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Yoo In-chon.”

He continued, “I can’t help but be frustrated and astonished at the ministerial remarks such as ‘Chairman Lee Ki-heung has not received any interference in the past eight years’, ‘It seems that sports presidents and local government sports presidents refuse autonomy’, ‘I won’t admit it even if I succeed if I run for a third or more term as a president’, ‘I consider it unfair if I run for a fourth term as a soccer president’, and ‘The Korean Sports Council is monstrous’.”

In particular, he said, “Despite the fact that the Fair Committee of the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee cannot be appointed carelessly, it is worrisome that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism officials are neutral and should not intervene in the election, but they are not and are engaged in pre-election campaigns.”

Therefore, he said, “I hope that the chairman of the Korean Sports Association will not accuse the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of election law and become a transfer fight.”

Yoon Hyun-woo, chairman of the Chungbuk Sports Council, said, “The director of the sports bureau at the Ministry of Culture and Sports is an ex officio director of the Korea Sports Council, but after Minister Yoo In-chon, he will not attend the meeting of the Korea Sports Council and should figure out the expansion of the park golf course that the people want most, but it is rather low that there is no Ministry of Culture and Sports that does not help.”

Song Jin-ho, chairman of the Jeonnam Sports Council, said, “The sports community is not a monster group or an old organization with old practices, but an organization that provides unpaid service. Rather, the ministry should reform it after receiving a lot of criticism.”
