KIA moves to Seoul for ‘Champagne Shower’

The KIA Tigers’ team, which went straight to the Korean Series in professional baseball for the first time in seven years, celebrated the top spot in the regular league with a “champagne shower” under the Hangawi Daeboreum Moon.

After the game at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on the 17th, the KIA team immediately moved to Marina Park on Sebit Island in Seocho-gu, Seoul, adjacent to the Han River, to hold a regular league championship celebration.

KIA lost 0-2 to SSG on the same day, but thanks to the second-place Samsung Lions’ loss to the Doosan Bears, it erased the magic number and decided to rank first in the regular league in the 2024 season regardless of the results of the remaining seven games.

As the away team locker was not able to hold a celebratory match, the KIA team hurriedly moved from Incheon to Seoul’s reservation office, wearing goggles and waving champagne and enjoying the joy.

The KIA team finished the celebration by promising to win its 12th Korean Series title and shouting “fighting.”

Kia has no game on Saturday. It will take a day off and play the Doosan Bears at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on Sunday, before going down to Gwangju to face the NC Dinos on Sunday, the Samsung Lions on Sunday and the Lotte Giants on Saturday. It will then close the regular league with two consecutive visiting games against the Hanwha Eagles on Sunday and the Lotte Giants on Sunday.

KIA, which went straight to the Korean Series, plans to manage the rest of the season leisurely, but will conduct inspections in various areas such as adjusting the sense of play to win the integrated championship. 토토사이트
