Infantino FIFA President Encounters Chung Mong-kyu, President of the Football Association

Gianni Infantino, president of the FIFA, met with Chung Mong-kyu, chairman of the Korea Football Association (KFA), and highly appreciated the operational capabilities of the Korea Football Association (KFA), emphasizing autonomy.

Infantino, who arrived in Seoul on Friday to attend the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Awards at Kyung Hee University’s Peace Hall, met with Chung Mong-kyu, president of the Korea Football Association, and Kim Kwang-guk, president of Ulsan HD.
Infantino told reporters before the interview, “The Korea Football Association is running very well,” adding, “FIFA values the autonomy of sports,” adding, “It has recently helped the association, which has received a lot of criticism.” He also added, “The Korea Football Association is an exemplary institution not only in East Asia but also in Asia and around the world,” adding, “We are investing in men’s soccer and women’s soccer, youth and daily sports.”

Infantino, who met with Chung Mong-gyu with a bright face, received the national team uniform from Chung in a friendly atmosphere and exchanged pennant.

The Korea Football Association has been criticized by fans for various controversies since its appointment as coach Jurgen Klinsmann last year, withdrawal of amnesty for match-fixing, and appointment of Hong Myung-bo this year. In a related move, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism conducted an audit on the association, and was criticized by the National Assembly’s stylistic committee and the comprehensive national audit by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee. 메이저놀이터
