In the apology, KBSN said, “KBSN Sports recognized the seriousness of the controversial remarks during the broadcast of Hanwha-KT’s baseball game on Aug. 1, and immediately took immediate action to issue a standby order against the person concerned and began the process of referral to the personnel committee, and suspended the proceedings of the baseball broadcasting assigned to him. I respectfully apologize to the viewers and baseball fans for this matter.”
During the broadcast of the game between the Hanwha Eagles and the KT Wiz at Suwon KT Wiz Park on the 1st, caster Lee Ki-ho received public anger by saying, “I want to eat women’s ramen, Choi Jae-hoon,” when he saw a cheering phrase written by a baseball fan on his sketchbook. The fan, who wrote the cheering phrase, said he received an apology from the caster and PD after the game through the community, and demanded that the part be edited in the replay video of the broadcast and that he accurately said the mistake and apologized in the next broadcast.
And KBSN Sports, which was in charge of broadcasting the match against KT-NC in Changwon on Sunday, said caster Kwon Sung-wook, “I would like to apologize to you first. There was an inappropriate expression from our caster during the match yesterday. I sincerely apologize for the incident yesterday. KBSN will take appropriate measures for this incident.
