“Golf Gold spoon” Charlie Woods’ first hole-in-one in his career, but he failed to win

Charlie Woods, the son of “Golf Emperor” Tiger Woods, made his first hole-in-one during the final round of the PNC Championship, drawing attention.

Charlie grabbed a hole-in-one at the 4th hole during the scrambled final day of the tournament at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club (par 72) in Orlando, Florida on the 23rd (Korea time). Charlie hit a tee shot with a 7-iron at the 4th hole, a par-three hole 175 yards away, and the ball fell in front of the pin 1.8 meters before being sucked into the hole.

“It was a perfect 7-iron shot. I didn’t think it went in at first. I didn’t trust anyone until I went up there,” Charlie, a golf gold spoon, said in an impromptu interview after recording a hole-in-one. “It was really cool.”
Charlie, a 15-year-old junior at high school, was not immediately aware of the hold-in-one situation after the tee shot, but later found out that he was the ace and rejoiced in a warm hug with his father, Tiger. Tiger pushed his son away after the hug, expressing his joy. “I have never seen Tiger as happy as his hold-in-one moment,” said Von McKay, a golf channel course commentator who broadcast the event live. Tiger recorded his first hole-in-one on the PGA Tour during his professional debut in 1996 during the Greater Milwaukee Open, and has held the hole-in-one 20 more times since then.

Woods and his son did not reach the championship title, however. Woods tied for the lead in the final round, had a hole-in-one and 13 birdies to post 15-under 57. Woods and Bernhard Langer tied at 28 under par overall, but lost in the playoff and had to settle for second place.

At the playoff race held at Hole 18 (par 5), Woods attempted a 7-meter eagle putt at the green fringe, but all of them failed, while Langer and his son succeeded a 4-meter eagle putt to decide the winner. Langer and his son succeeded in defending the title and won the title for the sixth time in the championship.

Tiger won the Jojo Championship in Japan in 2019 and set a tie record for the most wins (82) in the PGA Tour, and although it is an unofficial tournament, he sought to win the PNC Championship for the first time in five years, but failed to achieve his goal.

On the last day, David Duvall made a 14-under-par combination and tied for third with Vijay Singh and Padraig Harrington. Nelly Korda father and daughter added 11 under-par to tie for 8th with a final total of 20 under-par, while Anika Sorenstam hat reduced 9 strokes to take 11th place alone with a final total of 19 under.

The PNC Championship, which is an event where the father, father, daughter and mother compete with their families, is a 36-hole scramble match to determine the winner 스포츠토토. The scramble method refers to a method in which each player takes a shot and then selects a ball in a better position to continue the next shot, and is usually used as a pro-am match method in the U.S.
