‘Finally’ KBO League to open the era of 10 million spectators of dreams… If 56,326 people in four games come in on the 15th, a new history will be ‘broadly’

The 2024 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League is facing the era of 10 million spectators. There are only 56,326 left.

The KBO League recorded a cumulative total of 9,943,674 spectators in 667 games through the 14th. In five games on the 14th, 104,147 spectators visited the stadium and approached the milestone. If more than 56,326 spectators visit four games on the 15th, it will achieve the great feat of “10 million spectators” for the first time in Korean professional sports.
If you look at the average monthly attendance for the 2024 season, you can see that it received constant love and attention from baseball fans from spring to autumn. The KBO League started with 15,529 people in March and gradually curved upward from 13,262 in April to 14,881 in May to 15,236 in June.

July, when the All-Star break was held, was not bad at 14,832, and it showed a fierce background at 15,412 in August. Then, it is going through a peak period of 16,776 in September. The average attendance for the entire season is 14,908, which means an average of 15,000 for the season is possible.

Due to the fever of spectators, some clubs have exceeded 1 million spectators. On Aug. 8, the Doosan Bears surpassed 1 million spectators when they played 58 home games, and the Samsung Lions also surpassed 1 million spectators on Aug. 14, when they played 58 home games. The LG Twins surpassed 1 million spectators for the third time on Aug. 16, but in terms of home games, they had the fewest number of games in 53 games.

The KIA Tigers reached the one million mark after 59 games on Aug. 28. The Lotte Giants surpassed the one million mark for the fifth time as they played 60 games on Sept. 6, and took over the baton as SSG Landers reached the one million mark after 64 games on Sept. 10.

Though not attracting 1 million spectators, the Hanwha Eagles sold out 43 times out of 66 home games, surpassing the Samsung Lions (36 times) in 1995 and renewing the record of most sold out in a single season. KT Wiz, NC Dinos, and Kiwoom Heroes have also ushered in an era of 10,000 spectators on average.

The KBO League, which has set a regular season goal of Sept. 28, is scheduled to play 53 games over the remaining two weeks. At the current pace, it will not only surpass 10 million spectators but also show a maximum of 10.73 million paces, raising expectations for a new record. Attention is focusing on whether the KBO League, which is driving a cloud of spectators amid much interest from fans, will be able to continue its explosive spectatorship for the rest of the season. 먹튀검증
