“Are you belittling our players?”Angry San Diego boycotts NLDS dugout interviews!

The San Diego club reportedly boycotted a dugout interview during a game organized by Fox Sports in Game 3 of the National League Division Series (NLDS) for making funny their players, including Manny Machado (32) and Fernando Tatis Jr (25).

The origin of the incident goes back to the first and second NLDS games. The NLDS, which the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres, rivals of the National League West, have faced off from the first game due to excessive competition between the two teams.

In the first round match, Jurickson Profar (31), who started in the San Diego Padres’ left field, caught Mookie Betts’ home run ball with his amazing defense, and made a gesture as if he failed to catch it, provoking Dodgers fans. Eventually, Dodgers fans threw the ball towards Profar, causing uproar.

Conflict between the two teams also broke out in Game 2. San Diego third baseman Manny Machado threw his ball into the Dodgers’ dugout as he was warming up in the field ahead of defense. In an interview after the game, manager Dave Roberts said, “I think he had a hidden intention,” and criticized Machado for being rude.

After the second game of the NLDS, Ken Rosenthal, a renowned reporter and columnist in the United States, called Machado’s actions a “evil throw” in his column, leaving a nuance as if he was siding with the Dodgers. 안전놀이터

Rosenthal’s side with the Dodgers didn’t stop there. He continued his assessments of San Diego outfielders Fernando Tatis Jr. and Jurickson Profar. “It’s not just a carriage that’s annoying to San Diego,” Rosenthal said. “He’s like a peacock who laughs and dances. He’s like a kid who asks, “Who is it, me?” after hitting the fire alarm at school.

It is not known through what route, but the column written by Rosenthal was delivered to the San Diego clubhouse, and the club decided to boycott the dugout interview during the third game of the NLDS.

After gradually winning 6:5 against the Dodgers in Game 3 of the NLCS, Tatis Jr. posted an emoticon of “The Man Dancing with the Peacock Birds” on his SNS (social network service) as if to show Rosenthal, receiving support from San Diego fans.

Rosenthal’s boycott of the dugout interview ended in just one game. He has been conducting dugout interviews with Dodgers and San Diego again since Game 4 of the NLDS. However, he is unlikely to write columns disparaging or mocking San Diego players for the time being.
