A man in his 60s who said he was going to pick up chestnuts at Mt. Cheonmasan… Found dead after hanging from a tree a week after disappearance

A man in his 60s who went missing after going to the mountains굿모닝토토 도메인 to pick up chestnuts was found dead a week later.

According to the police and fire authorities on the 25th, at around 3:30 pm on this day, a lifeguard dog found Mr. A, a man in his 60s, dead, hanging from a tree on the 5th ridge of Cheonmasan Mountain in Hwado-eup, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do.

Authorities conducted a joint search operation after receiving a report that Mr. A, who had gone to Cheonmasan Mountain to pick up chestnuts, had gone missing around 8 a.m. on the 18th.

When Mr. A was not found even after a week of disappearance, the fire authorities deployed ‘Taegong’, a rescue dog from the Northern Gyeonggi Special Response Team, at around 1pm on this day, and found Mr. A in about two hours.

A police official said, “We found that there were no signs of homicide or extreme choice at the scene,” and “We are investigating the exact cause of death.”
