No. 1 KORDA in the “Even if I Rest” rankings… Seven wins of the season as soon as he returns from injury

Nelly Korda (26), world No. 1 in the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour, is writing the history of world golf this year. She has tied the record for the most consecutive wins by winning five tournaments in a row, adding to her record of seven wins in 13 years.

At the fourth round of the Annika Driven by Gainbridge at Pelican Golf Club (par 70, 6,227 yards) in Bel-Air, Florida, Korda cut down on three pars by combining six birdies and three bogeys. With 14-under 266 overall, Korda easily beat the joint second-ranked group including Im Jin-hee (26, Angang Construction) by three pars to achieve her seventh win in this season and 15th overall. The prize money is 487,500 U.S. dollars. Korda has been on the list of players with seven wins in this season for the first time in 13 years since Teng Yani (Taiwan) in 2011. It is the first time in 34 years that an American golfer has achieved seven wins in this season since Beth Daniel in 1990. Korda also set a new record of 스포츠토토 winning the championship three times following 2021 and 2022.

Korda has been in the top 10 for 10 times out of 15 competitions this season, seven of which is close to 50 percent. Starting with the LPGA Drive-On Championship in January, the Per Hills Pak Se-ri Championship and the Ford Championship in March, and the T-Mobile Match Play and Chevron Championship in April, she ranked No. 1 in five competitions in a row. She failed to achieve the record of six consecutive wins, but achieved six wins at the Mizuho American Open in May. After her six wins, Korda seemed to fall into a severe slump by failing to cut out of three competitions in a row, but she regained her skills by ranking second at the AIG Women’s Open and fifth at the Kroger Queen City Championship. After returning to the field in two months after suffering a neck injury, she immediately won the title, showing off her world No. 1. Based on this, Korda has already confirmed the Player of the Year award, and is ranking first in both the CME Globe and the prize money rankings. Korda, who started the final round tying for second by one stroke, seemed to be losing two strokes through Hole 10, but turned the tide by performing a thrilling five-hole birdie show at Hole 11-15.

“Rookie” Im Jin-hee, who tied for second place, posted her best performance of the season, surpassing fourth place in the JM Eagle LA Championship in April. With this performance, she drastically reduced the gap with Saigo Mao (23, Japan), the No. 1 rookie in the rookie race, from 146 points to 66 points, providing an opportunity to turn the tables in the CME Group Tour Championship in the final match of the season. Newcomer points will be awarded 150 points for winning, 80 points for second place, 75 points for third place, and 70 points for fourth place.
