Lotte Recruited Cho Won-woo as Head Coach… 4 Players, including Lee Hak-joo, will be released

Former coach Cho Won-woo will return to Busan as the head coach.

Lotte said on the 5th, “We recruited head coach Cho Won-woo.”

Cho Won-woo, the new head coach, served as an outfield defense and operational coach at Lotte in the 2011-2012 season, and served as the first-team coach in the 2016-2018 season.

“I would like to express my gratitude to SSG because I was able to leave good memories over the past four years,” Cho said. “I will wear Lotte’s uniform for the third time. Lotte also hired coaches Jang Jae-young and Lee Young-joon as training coaches for Futures (2nd division).

Meanwhile, the Korean team has started efforts to clean up its players. Four players including Lee Hak-joo, Oh Sun-jin, Lee In-bok and Lim Joon-seop were hit by strong winds.

Lee Hak-joo had a batting average of 0.263, two homers and four RBIs in 43 games this season, before leaving his team. Oh Sun-jin also had a batting average of 0.200 in 26 games this season.
