Bellinger, a 2017 Rookie of the Year and 2019 MVP, hit .266 on-base percentage of .325 slugging percentage of .426 18 homers and 78 RBIs in 130 games last season.

He showed consistent performance with OPS (OPS+) 111 and bWAR 2.2, but fell short of the 2023 season. Eventually, he postponed being evaluated in the market to another opportunity.
The season started in center field, but later moved to right field after giving up center field to rookie Pete Crow-Armstrong.
ESPN predicted that Bellinger is likely to start the season in right field again next season.
