On the 2nd, Connor posted a post in Korean that begins with “To Samsung fans.”
In the post, Connor said, “Thank you so much for this year. I’m so sorry I couldn’t take the mound in the postseason.”
Connor, who made his KBO League debut in a Samsung uniform this year, played as the first starter, starting the opening game, recording 11 wins, 6 losses and an ERA of 3.43.
However, he failed to play after a game against the Hanwha Eagles on Sept. 11. Connor, who struggled for treatment and rehabilitation after suffering right scapular pain, was eventually excluded from Samsung’s roster for the playoffs and the Korean Series.
“I needed time to rehabilitate the injured area, and you tried a lot to get me back faster in the training part, but we all had limitations,” Connor said. “The past month has been so disappointing for me.”
“I’m grateful to be with you in such a great team this season,” he said, adding, “I’m so proud of my teammates like brothers.”
“All of this would not have been possible without you,” Connor said. “We could have had such a great season because we could feel the energy of you, the heart of Samsung, throughout the season.” /Yonhap News
Finally, he concluded by saying, “I don’t know what my future holds, but I sincerely thank my colleagues and fans.”
