LCK ‘Champion’ Hanwha Life e-Sports lost 1-3 to BLG in the quarterfinals of the LOL World Cup

Hanwha Life e-Sports, the champion of the League of Legends (LoL) domestic professional league,’s bid to advance to the semifinals of the World Championship (LOL World Cup) was defeated in front of China’s Bilibili Gaming (BLG).

Hanwha Life Insurance lost to BLG in the quarterfinals of the 2024 LoL World Cup at Adidas Arena in Paris on the 18th (local time). Hanwha Life took the lead by overwhelming BLG with the performance of “Zeka” Kim Gun-woo in the first set at around 11 minutes. BLG sought a chance to turn the tables by avoiding head-to-head battles, but failed to close the gap at the beginning with each battle, losing to Hanwha Life, which put the “Viper” Park Do-hyun and “Delight” Yoo Hwan-joong duo at the forefront.
Hanwha Life Insurance scored an all-kill against BLG in the 34th minute and immediately rushed to the enemy Nexus and took the first set lightly.

BLG, which launched a counterattack, gained the upper hand by catching “Doran” Choi Hyun-jun twice in a row in collaboration with “Bin” Chen Zevin and “Shun” Peng Li Xun at the beginning of the second set. The gap widened in the 11th minute of the battle for the hollow larvae. Hanwha Life Insurance created an opportunity by jumping into the united BLG form and floating the opponent in the air, but lost two kills by losing to BLG with Rumble and Yone in the instantaneous explosive power.

“Night” Ju-ding’s Yone won a series of kills in the ensuing battle, widening the total gold gap with Hanwha Life Insurance, and took two sets in 26 minutes.

In the third set, Hanwha Life Insurance and BLG faced off by exchanging kills around the top line. Hanwha Life Insurance, which was confronting the dragon around the 19th minute, immediately began to lose ground as the bottom duo was dealt with by Knight’s pursuit when Doran collapsed, and Peanut’s Nocturne seemed to create an opportunity by catching the flickering “Elk” Zhao Zhao Hao around the 21st minute, but allowed a wider gap in BLG’s counterattack with Vienna.

Hanwha Life tried to counterattack even though it was inferior, but failed to block Bin and Knight’s collaboration and pushed to a set score of 1-2 as well. BLG also drove fiercely in the fourth set that followed. Hanwha Life took a big shot when the viper collapsed in a fight that began in front of the dragon at about 22 minutes. In the ensuing one-stroke, the team’s teamwork between the viper and Zeka seemed to succeed in counterattack by successfully winning a grand victory and hunting Baron, but in each subsequent battle, BLG repeatedly lost four dragon buffs, with Shine’s Kindred and Elk’s Kaisa as their twin guns.

Having advanced to the forefront of Hanwha Life, BLG failed to secure Hanwha Life’s bid to advance to the semifinals of the LOL World Cup by winning four sets in just 40 minutes. Hanwha Life Insurance will stop its bid to the quarterfinals for the first time in three years since the 2021 event. 안전놀이터
