A court ruled that Lim Hye-dong (28), a former baseball player suspected of blackmail, should give 800 million won to Kim Ha-sung (29, San Diego Padres).
According to the legal community on the 31st, the Seoul Central District Court’s Civil Agreement Department 25 sentenced Kim Ha-sung the day before to “pay 800 million won to the plaintiff” from his alleged penalty against Lim Hye-dong.
Lim Hye-dong and Kim Ha-sung had a physical fight while drinking at a bar in Gangnam, Seoul in February 2021. Lim Hye-dong demanded a settlement from Kim Ha-sung, who was a soldier at the time, and Kim Ha-sung gave a settlement of 400 million won on the condition that he would not contact or engage in any disadvantageous actions in the future. 스포츠토토

After the investigation, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul sent Lim Hye-dong to the prosecution on the 1st, believing that the charges of racketeering and attempted blackmail were admitted. The head of the agency, Park, who is accused of conspiring to commit the crime, was also sent.
Lim Hye-dong is a former professional baseball player who joined the Nexen Heroes (currently Kiwoom) as a pitcher in 2015. However, he left the team the following year without making his first-team debut.
