From 2020 to last year, Suseong High School won the most championships and became a strong player in the South High School. While boasting a good record this year and being considered as a favorite to win this tournament, there was a player from Mongolia in the center of the court.
Every day, it is easy to see foreign players from Mongolia on the amateur stage. There are still many young players who are dreaming of becoming volleyball players in Korea at various amateur schools, including Inha University Bayarsaihan and Sungkyunkwan University Eddie.
Pujee (3rd grade, MB, 208 cm) first set foot on Korean soil in July 2020. He first played volleyball at Yale Meditech High School in Andong before transferring to Suseong High School in May of last year.
Puje and Suseong High School, who have been active in Suseong High School uniforms since this year, won the 2023 Taebaek Mountain Cup National Men’s and Women’s Middle and High School Volleyball Competition (hereafter Taebaek Mountain Cup) in Taebaek, Gangwon-do on the 16th by a shutout win against Hyunil High School in the quarterfinals and advanced to the semifinals.
During the interview with Puze, whom I met after the game, there were no major restrictions on communication. Although it took her trial and error for a year after she set foot on Korean soil, she worked hard to adapt to her life in Korea while studying Korean on her own. Puje said, “She learned a lot because she read a lot of Korean study books, talked a lot with her friends, and worked out.”
Standing over 2m tall, she boasts the highest height in high school volleyball. She added a lot of strength to her team when she was in the front line, showing high RBI not only in fast break but also in blocking.
Among the V-League players,메이저놀이터 he picked KEPCO Shin Young-seok, who is considered the best middle blocker in Korea, as his role model. Puze said, “I think he is the best player in the middle blocker position. Watching him play, he felt that he had a lot to learn.”
Puje has yet to lift a championship trophy since starting volleyball in Korea. As much as he was full of desire to win, he finally expressed his determination, saying, “I will definitely win this tournament and then get motivated to do well in the next tournament.”
