World No. 44 Mito Pereira ( photo Chile) joins LIV Golf, sponsored by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund.
The British Telegraph reported on the 12th (Korean time) that “Mito Ferreira has decided to leave the US Professional Golf (PGA) Tour this year and play for LIV Golf.” As a result, Pereira will participate from the opening match of the LIV Invitational, which will be held in Mexico for three days from February 25th. 스포츠토토
It seems that Pereira moved to LIV Golf last year under the influence of his friend Joaquin Niemann (Chile). Pereira, who has not won on the PGA Tour, tied for 4th at the Shriners Children’s Open, where she recently competed, and has won three victories on the second-tier tour, the Korn Ferry Tour, and one win at the PGA Latin America.
At last year’s PGA Championship, a major tournament, Ferreira hit the last 18th hole with a one-stroke lead over Justin Thomas and Will Zalatoris (above USA), but fell his tee shot into a stream and committed a double bogey, losing the championship he had captured. Thomas defeated Zalatoris in overtime to win the match, and Pereira had to settle for a tie for third.
